Mediation is a process that focuses on Alternate Dispute Resolution, or ADR. During this process, a neutral party – the mediator – helps the two or more parties come to a resolution. Unlike other forms of resolution, the mediator does not impose their will on a decision. While arbitrations and trials end with a forced solution, mediation can end with a mutually-agreeable resolution or, in some cases, no resolution.
